Lovelle Tey's First Years: Short vacation in Bandung (Indonesia) ~ 8 Aug to 11 Aug 2013

We were able to go for a short vacation as we had a super long weekend here in Singapore in celebration of Hari Raya and National Day from 8-11 August! So wonderful!

Thanks to Jayden's mother (Auntie Joycelyn), she planned/booked everything from air ticket, accommodation to itinerary! However due to some unexpected family matter, she was unable to join us for the trip.

Bandung is a beautiful place. However Bandung's traffic condition and road infrastructure is very bad. Moreover, we chose the wrong time to visit Bandung. Oh my god! Most people in Indonesia were not working during Hari Raya holiday! So we were stuck in the traffic jam from day to night!

Honestly.....we, little children, weren't so bothered by the traffic jam, haha! In our mini bus, we ate titbits and played throughout the ride.

Day 1

Lunch at Kampung Daun... This place has good atmosphere to chill out and relax! Recommended!

Next stop...Strawberry Farm. This strawberry farm is not the planned one in our itinerary. However our driver suggested this instead as it was near to Kampung daun. Not as what we expected, they only allowed us to pick 4 big strawberries or 6 small strawberries in one basket! huh?!

Day 2

It's National Day!!!

Our destination....Tangkuban Perahu

Tangkuban Perahu is a dormant volcano which last erupted in yr1959.

As we were always on the road due to heavy traffic jam, we had completely no time to visit more places. We were tired by the time we reached the restaurant - The Stone Café. Nice cooling place to relax. We had fun running around the place and playing catching game.

After dinner, our parents went for Spa massage while we entertained ourselves at one corner of the room...noisy three of us :D

Day 3

We woke up even earlier than Day 2 as we wanted to avoid the morning traffic jam. The journey took 3hours from our hotel to Kawah Putih!!!

Next destination....Tea plantation.......

where I stepped in a pile of dog shit and dirtied my shoes...it was so disgusting! And I got to wear that pair of shoes till we reached our hotel....mom immediately threw away the shoes. Luckily, she brought an extra pair of shoes for me.

Our next destination....Patengan Lake.

We regretted going there as the place was packed with the locals. Bought some durians on the way there. Daddy said those were the worst tasting durians he had ever tasted!!
